Roaster School 101 - September 14th

This 3-hour workshop is suitable for beginning coffee roasters. We cover the basics-and-then-some of turning coffee beans brown, including:
- Roasting machine anatomy
- How to approach a roast given green coffee variables (origin, altitude, etc.)
- How to use machine controls to manage your roast
- Data logging, both manual and digital
- Roast phases, roast level, and how to know when to stop
- Evaluating your results via cupping
Participants will get hands-on roasting time on an Arc 800 and will get to take home a bag of beans that they roasted themselves.
Saturday September 14th at 10am
Workshop is limited to 9 participants.
Lecture, hands-on roasting time, and a group cupping are included.
